This week our Traffic Flow Kapiti team was on-site in the heart of the city, providing traffic management support for a major Collins Crane lift.

With large mobile cranes operating right on the roadside, safety and planning are absolutely critical. Our role was to ensure that both the crane crews and the public could go about their day without disruption.

To achieve this, we:

• Developed and implemented a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) approved by council

• Set up a full lane closure and detour to create a safe working zone

• Supplied and installed cones, signage, and barriers to guide road users and pedestrians

• Provided qualified traffic controllers on-site to manage traffic flow throughout the operation

By carefully managing the space, we kept the project running smoothly while ensuring minimal impact on surrounding businesses and road users.
